Sara de la Rosa (PhD Student)Sara de la Rosa (PhD Student) On 30 Sept. 2011 I completed my PhD on 'Temporal changes of sea ice affected by waves and thermal forcing' at the Geophysical Institute in Bergen, Norway as part of the Norwegian project www.norclim.no. During the ASCOS expedition I worked with Anders Sirevaag measuring under-ice small-scale turbulent fluxes in the ocean mixed layer and across the cold halocline down to 500m depth. In collaboration with Marcel Nicolaus and Sebastian Gerland at the Norwegian Polar Institute in Tromsø, a short-wave radiation site and under-ice sensor were also setup for albedo and absorption measurements.
